What Counts as a Water Damage Emergency?
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. If water is actively flowing, pooling, or has been standing for more than a few hours, it's an emergency. Examples we respond to every day:
- Burst pipes (most common during winter freeze)
- Appliance failures — washing machine, dishwasher, water heater
- Sewer line backups
- Storm-related flooding
- Roof leaks during heavy rain
- Sump pump failures
- Toilet overflows
- Frozen pipes that have just thawed
What to Do While You Wait
- Shut off the water supply at the main valve if you can do so safely
- Turn off electricity to affected rooms at the breaker
- Move valuables, electronics, and furniture out of the affected area
- Take photos for your insurance claim
- Do NOT use a household vacuum on standing water — fire/shock hazard
- Stay out of rooms with sagging ceilings or visible electrical hazards
